Descriptive note: Number 10 of the Felipe Bauza - drawings made on the Spanish Scientific Expedition to Australia and the Pacific in the ships Descubierta and Atrevida under the command of Alessandro Malaspina, 1789-9 (DGD 2). The drawings (except perhaps no. 10) originally formed part of two albums of paintings and drawings which were in possession of Felipe Bauza who was in charge of the work done by the various artists attached to the expedition -- letter dated 26/9/1960 on ML file. Purchased May 1961.
