Descriptive note: This sketch is bound into a book of watercolours of Norfolk Island botanical drawings, which is thought to have been compiled in the early 1790s. Presented by Sir William Dixson before 1952.

Inscriptions: In pen beneath images "The Cumberland tree when not injured, grows tall and very straight, if cut down it forms a handsome bush. It flowers in October and November and the seeds are ripe in January and February, the flower is of very rich crimson colour before the seeds are ripe. The leaf, flower + seeds are drawn of their natural size"
