Descriptive note: 1 album (180 pages of watercolour and pencil drawings) 9 watercolour drawings Illustrations of scenes and studies that concentrate on 'ordinary' or 'rustic' life. Including people of various occupations and status; animals (horses, cattle, bullocks, pigs); houses and buildings; and trees. Pencil note inside of album cover suggests that the artist in English painter, George Morland (1763-1804) but this cannot be verified. Album has been numbered No. 1 and loose drawings Nos. 2 to 9 accordingly. Bequeathed by D.S. Mitchell, 1907.
