Descriptive note: In gold circular shaped frame with thick glass on front, set as a brooch (pin is missing). Encased on the reverse, covered in glass, is interwoven hair, brown in colour with auburn highlights. At the top centre of the frame are two loops for hanging. Accompanying the portrait is a non-contemporaneous bakelite rectangular label with black print; Mrs. Lawson / Wife of Lieut. Wm. Lawson.
