Descriptive note: Relative date was obtained from costume. Watercolour and oil on ivory miniature, stored in rectangular wooden frame with beading around inner edge, glass front, gold mount over image on front, and cardboard backing held in place by six handmade nails. Came with a paper label signed by donor identifying the subject as Lieutenant Colonel Frederick. From the Scott family paper, (MLMSS 1694 Mitchell Library) Presented by R. Gledon Scott, 1969.

(Paper backing is torn making inscriptions hard to read).
