Descriptive note: Watercolour drawing on ivory miniature encased in wooden rectangular frame with oval window at front with glass cover and raised metal rim. At the top centre of the frame is a metal clasp shaped like an acorn with leaves and a loop for hanging. Accompanying the miniature is drawstring chamois bag two internal pockets, red wool braid trim, and printed initials "R.D." on both sides (16.4 x 12.2 cm with bag) ( 13.7 cm handle approx.) Dated from approximate age of sitter.
