Deco desc: Florentine style: red rubrics; caps alternately red and blue; coloured initials, unfinished on 8v., 21r., 24v., 27v., 31r., 37w, 53r., 96r., while between 112r. and 140v. the initials are blue with red penwork, or red, with penwork; one historiated initial on 1r. depicting the Virgin and Child and coloured lilac, dark blue, green, mauve, and gold; 1r. carries also a full border of intertwined leaves and flowers (gold, brown, lilac, red, blue) and in the lower margin are two angelini, a laurel wreath around a shield azur (now pale blue) with a camel now brown and grey (through oxidization).

Kavanagh left this book to her nephew Lord Clifford 1898Õ
