Provenance: Br, among the scribbles and notes in 15c. hands are 'Robato d.' and an extract of M. T Cicero, Dc Amicitia ii, 10; Ev. carries further notes and scribbles in 16c. hands, including Propertius, Elegiae, Book II, 1,43-44; Ar. has a list of contents by a 16c. hand and a stencilled lion rampant with the legend 'Sir T. P./ Middle Hill/ No.898'; Br. in modern ink 'Phillipps MS. 898': he purchased the MS. at Sotheby's London in 1825 along with other volumes from Italian private and monastic collections; on Bv. in 19c. pencil is '188'; Ar. has many modern pencil scribbles which include '326', '346', u/-' 'Saec XV', 'a.40.288' and the ink signature 'Nelson M. Richardson, Montevideo near Weymouth 1904'
