Binding: the four gatherings are preserved in a modern folding case of brown buckram, spine with lettering tooled in black D.89 MITCHELL LIBRARY ANTIPHONAL D.89.

Catchwords: Catchwords agree except between quires 2 and 3

Collation: (6)1 (4)2 (10)3-4. Since fols l-10 are misbound, the sheets should be read 7Ñ8, 1Ñ6, 9Ñ30. The fly-leaves are blank


Condition: Edges trimmed Lower edges of many sheets have been repaired. Vellum tabs fixed to the outer edges of several folios

Deco desc: Italian in style: red rubrics; caps alternately red and blue; illuminated initials (100 x 98, 90 x 80mm.) in gold, blue, green, red, mauve, white on 7v., 17r., 24r., 27 29r. On 1r. is anhistoriated initial (190 x 165mm.) with similar colouring, depicting David in prayer, enhanced by three border panels of floral and leaf sprays and gold spangles. In the centre of the lower margin is a circle with the monogram YHS.
