Acquisition: D. S. Mitchell bequeathed the MS in 1907

Binding: 19c. brown calf, covers bear single fillet whose outer edge is serrated, and another fillet forming a rectangle with dotted diagonal cross to the four corners, all in blind. Spine gilt, damaged, has lettering PRIVILEGES / OF THE / MONASTERY.

Condition: Edges trimmed Worm-holes in B and C.

Deco desc: red rubrics and paragraph marks; initials alternately blue, with red penwork and red, with blue penwork; one historiated initial (100 x 90mm.) on 9r. in gold, blue, pink, green, orange, and white depicting Virgin and Child before whom Bernardus kneels, there are two scrolls (i) Aue regina celorum aue mater (ii) Monstra te esse matrem Bernardus (sic).
