Acquisition: D. S. Mitchell bequeathed the MS in 1907

Binding: 17c. (?) of parchment over boards. Remains of leather thong ties on the covers. The spine has the shelf-mark A 2590 in blind and the lettering EUSEBII / HISTe ECCLce in black ink.z

Catchwords: the catchword on 150v. does not agree with the opening words on 151r

Collation: A modern paper + 156 + B modern paper. Collation: (10)1-15 (6)16. A whole quire is missing between fols 150 and 151, A and B are blank


Condition: Edges cut and tinted red The covers and flyleaves have worm-holes.

Deco desc: red rubrics; caps alternately red, with mauve penwork and blue, with mauve penwork; initials (35 x 35, 32 x 30mm.) in gold, blue, red or green with white tracery, some with a central red quatrefoil flower and gold centre, or a blue cornflower, on 1r., 15r., 28r., 44v., 59v., 77v., 95v., 108v., 119v. (50 x 45mm.), 129v., 145v. (43 x 41mm.).
