Binding: 15c. pigskin over oak boards. Covers bear large lozenges tooled in blind. One clasp on a leather strap still in use, traces of two others.

Provenance: On 1r. in red ink by contemporary hands are Ihs and Ihs Maria ... (third word illegible). On 13v., 14r., 64r. in a late 15c. German littera hybrida currens are additional notes to the texts; 65v. are Benedictions in Latin by another contemporary hand; Bv. in a second half 15c. German littera hybrida is an agreement much rubbed mentioning "Cunrat Knittel" and "Hans Knittel Brandeburger"; spine carries old paper sticker with the letter "z"; inside front cover in modern pencil is "3949 MSS. Ph. £9/9/-" (indicating a volume owned by Sir Thomas Phillipps) and "Ex libris Robert Carl and Marion Oak Sticht 1909" and the label of the next owner, A. H. Spencer, 86 Bourke St., Melbourne; Br. has an extract from his sale catalogue, entry no.28, and in modern pencil "thg" in a rectangle and "Spencer 1.5.23. £9/9/-" (the date the library purchased the volume), together with the shelf-mark *096/R66L; fol.1r. carries the library's stock no. "294067" in brown ink.
