Acquisition: R. A. Crouch presented the volume in 1944

Binding: Edges trimmed, 16c. binding of oak boards (10mm. thick) with bevelled edges; brass centre-piece and corner-pieces on the covers; two old leather straps with two pins in the front cover. Between the straps on the cover edge is a brass strip. Spine is of pigskin. Covers bear centre panel with busts, floral designs and apostles seen full length, all in blind.




Condition: Repairs have been made to the vellum in many corners.

Extent: one sheet pasted inside front cover, not included in the total number of sheets given for the codex; the verso side only is visible.


Hand desc: Italian littera gothica textualis formata; contemporary with the hand of the principal MS
