Acquisition: The folios were removed from the binding of D. Aurelii Augustini Hipponensis Episcopi Opera, printed at Basle by J. Frobenius, 10 vols as 7, 1542-1543. The set was formerly owned by Dr F. R. Nixon who deposited it in the Diocesan Library in Hobart, whence it passed at an unknown date to the Library of Christ College.

Condition: Each bi-folio has been cut vertically so that one half has only one col. of text, and each double sheet has been cut horizontally so that either the upper or lower portion of the col. is missing. The copy is badly rubbed and effaced in places. The Book numbers at the top of the sheets are I, IV, VI, VIII, IX.

Deco desc: red and blue roman Book numbers at the top of the folios; initials blue, with red penwork or red, with blue penwork; small paragraph marks in red, or blue

Dimensions: the original size of each half, that is, each single folio, was approximately 350 x 235mm
