Binding: 18c. or 19c. calf over boards. Compartments of the spine have gilt flower on stem and lettering on red morocco strip GEYSPOLETH / IN / PSALMOS / MS.

Provenance: 3r. by a 16c. hand ÔCollegii Sancti Petri iunioris ArgentinaeÕ; Ar. in 19c. ink has Ôx.2.21Õ; inside front cover are the armorial book-plate of the Hopetoun family with motto TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO AT SPES NON FRACTA, an extract from an English booksellerÕs catalogue, entry no.229 (in which the scribe Stephanus is held to be the author of the Psalter Commentary), and the armorial book-plate of Sir Charles Nicholson, Bart.
